The client for this house came with a strong passion for bird-watching. Situated at the backwaters of the Kundalika river in Raigarh, the site is surrounded by hills on three sides. It’s not just a house with an aviary, but a house woven around it. The sound of birds. Colors shifting throughout the day. The aviary becomes the spatial and emotional nucleus, defining the architecture not as enclosure, but as a porous edge.

Here, the home is not a barrier between inside and outside, but a carefully composed threshold between human ritual and wilderness.
